West Lancashire Council have published a first draft of a new Local Plan for consultation. Comments have to be submitted before 13th December.
The land we currently lease for the STAG allotments is included in the draft plan as a potential housing allocation for up to 900 houses.
I’ve sent an email to members with a pro-forma prepared by JD, and a copy of a leaflet we’re having printed for distribution in the local area.
It’s important that we all object to the inclusion of our site as a potential housing allocation if we are to protect it for use as allotments.
Please read the email and the attachments, make sure you send in an objection and encourage your neighbours to object to the proposals too.
